Yeah. I didn't really like either of the endings in the script.

"explained" in the loosest sense of the word. in other words again someone took over a franchise and just couldn't leave it alone. the "reasoning" behind the change is stupid.

EDIT: if the talk of the hounds/eagles is true im not adverse to it, i mean a single Predator got taken out by 1 man in the 1st 2 films, now they have hand picked a bunch of bad asses to hunt, they probably think the odds are against them, and the beasties level the playing field hehe.
man.....are you serious? REALLY serious? ONE of these creatures took out TWO spec ops teams in the first movie (Hopper's and Shaeffer's), ONE of them took out the gang at the start of P2, the gang inthe pnethouse of P2 etc etc etc.
i can't believe you said that. even if they were scared of all those tough guys, what happened to the whole hunt ethic of find the most righteous kill then test yourself against it? Erm, it's now "find the most righteous kill and test your dogs against it" is it?

it was clearly explained in the script, that the hounds were used to flush them out. Makes sense...good hunters use dogs at times to flush out there prey. In this case they are adding to the mythos of Predator as the ultimate hunter . Wolfie..no offense, but for someone who has already stated quite openly that you wont be seeing the movie, why are you even reading the script? If you have no intention of seeing it...think that it is gonna be that bad...this thread should in fact be dead to you, right?
You can believe i said it , they killed alot of people , but in the end got taken out by ONE MAN, and im intitled to my opinion, and thoughts on the matter.
The spec ops team and gangs had no idea what they were fighting, maybe our current crew do, i do not know as i havent read the script, and im willing to give RR the benefit of the doubt, as i WILL be seeing the film.

I for one dont like the wording of SUPER PREDATOR but im not going to throw a strop and say im not seeing a film due to WORDS from a ALLEDGED script.
Also on that fact, surely Arnie was a SUPER soldier being spec ops etc, not your normal run of the mill soldier, maybe these are the spec ops of the preds, i dont know,as its still just WORDS, but im still going to see it , THEN possibly moan.

It humanizes them, which isn't good at all...
Going to slightly disagree with you there, it humanizes a character that walks on 2 legs, wears a loin cloth, has hands and feet, has some sort of morals etc, theres alot of similarities with humans already, so i dont see it tooooooooo bad if they have other similarities

Them using traps is one thing, it's another to have them use dogs the same way we do: being too lazy to track down wildlife themselves.

also agreed that seems very un- yaujta like .... but theres a comic coming out aliens vs predators: three world war i think in january with the same concept with predators using xenomorphs as dogs i got um pre-ordered from tfaw.com

Gotta remember there will always be new things to keep this franchise going. Only so many times you can do the exact same thing. Also..Rodrigues is not directing ..he is the producer. His job will be to insure the directors vision of the script. Finally...this is not the final script. I know ..I do this for a living. A shooting script would be written differently. It also would not contain two endings. The final would have a single one for the Line Producer to finish the budget. It would include more camera direction. This is an early draft..filled with much more description then a shooting draft would contain.
