i was relaxed hearing it'd be KNB. followed their work for years, they're really as top-notch as you can get. got the right attitude and respect for Stan too. i suspect there might be some minor tweaks or so (perhaps in armour etc) but i'd say we'll all be happy at what they do.

IM all hyper now wanting to sculpt NEW preds. Im also sooooooooo praying they make the film in general good, that way we may get more Pred films

hi guys
all this talk of a new pedator film is great but what of a storyline for it. personally i woulld love to see a predator based in a western style movie. we know they have visited earth for millenia for sport so i think this could really work!
you could even go and have a predator pack hunting dinosaurs? preds versus raptors anyone?????
there is such an open background for this movie race that it would be almost impossible to ruin it with a bad storyline........ oh hang on AVP requiem. dammn

It does seem that the news is getting better and better except for no Ian Whyte. I still have a feeling that without him, there won't be a central Predator character. The mention of several cool Predators sounds promising. If they can keep on track and make some good decisions, this may be really great.

First Look at Predators Script!

There's a very interesting video commentary on LatinoReview who has had a look at a draft of the script dated dated July 12, 2009. The first look is very positive. They say the script is 'awesome' and providing Fox let Rodriguez handle everything, Fox will have a blockbuster on their hands by next summer. Here's the main points:
To briefly summarize, the film is going to follow a group of eight humans kidnapped by the Predators and let loose in the jungles of the Predator home planet to be hunted for sport. The humans are a multi-cultural combo of badasses including Yakuza, Mexican drug cartel hitmen, Russian mob members, cops and serial killers. And they’re all being stalked by one giant “Super Predator” who has orchestrated the whole event.
-The script isn't PG13, it's a 'bloody, violent, hard R script reminiscent of the original'.
-Story takes place on the Predators' homeplanet... Picture it as one big jungle from the cretaceous period.
-Opening sequence takes place with our main character, Royce, chasing down something on a rooftop. The sequence ends with him killing his prey with the Predator watching. The Predator then kidknaps him. We next see the character parashooting onto the Predator planet.
-Soon after we meet seven other characters who also parashooted onto the planet: Cuchillo, Nikolai, Isabelle, Stans, Mombasa, Hanzo, and Edwin.
-They soon realise they're prey in a game of cat and mouse and they take off on the run in the jungle. The Predator planet is a game reserve.
-A 'Black Super Predator' leads the hunting party of two other Super Predators.
-The characters eventually hook up with an American soldier called Nolan hiding in a cave. They find out that the Predators have been dropping humans into the game preserve for years.
-The script includes a cameo appearance from Arnie.
Danny Trejo Cast in Predators
Update: Danny Trejo will play a character called Cuchillo, a Mexican enforcer with twin uzis strapped to his back.

Personally I'd also like to see some decent Predator acrobatics. Scar's jumping spin-twist spiking the Queen was cool but all the jumping by Wolf was in stealth, I think I want it because the comics showed so much agile moves, not sure how it would look from the Predator's view (possibly a bit like Spiderman swinging through the streets) but it could look pretty impressive IMO.
