Ive got a question do u guys think in the avp universe the yautja evoled naturally or were the engineers the creators of the yautja as a early experiment that they couldnt control andthey ended up having a war just a idea i had because we know from the comics the 2 species know of each other and the engineersr hard to kill even for a yautja elder like ahab so wouldnt they b top of a hunters trophy list the skull of a engineer and wouldnt the engineers just b like well we aren't going to be trophys for so low level life form? So i want to know everybody's ideas on this

Personally I wouldn't want them to be their creators. It would be just as insulting as making *Covenant spoiler* David the creator of the Xenomorph. I'd plead for natural selection since Predators strive to be better Hunters, and evolution would have had a part to play in that.

I like to think they merely evolved from various omnivorous on the planet Yautja Prime. And that there was no creator at all, they were around before the humans they obviously saw the humans (at the time) as sacrificial lambs for their hunter games. Doubt the engineers created the Yautja seeing as they wanted to create a new species in their own image and I doubt engineers share the same genetic code as Yautja's.

On the other hand.

Engineer = drinks black fluid = micro-organisms = Evolution = Yautja....

I think the expanded universe has too many generalizations. Anything can be assumed...
I mean Alien (xenos) existed in 2005? but they were in fact created hundreds of years later or the fact that Predators were hunting xenos in 1997...

That's my thoughts on the matter.
