Praise for a good transaction

We are often quick to condemn and slow to praise so I wanted to take this opportunity to share a recent transaction with you that wasn't perfect, but I think was handled very well.

A few months ago, I was interested in buying a number of items from Ray (SG1 Trooper). Unlike most of us, Ray is not glued to his computer and it took us quite a while to arrange for the transaction. Now in most cases the seller is all to happy to email the hell out of you right up until he gets your money and then all too often suddenly his computer, phone, snail-mail, mouth and any other communication device mysteriously stops working. With Ray it was just the opposite. We had a hard time getting the thing arranged to start with but once Ray had my money, you would think we were attached at the hip. He called constantly to let me know what was going on with my shipment and while things did get delayed, he clearly communicated what was gong on and there was never a point where I was in the dark.

The items I bought were broken down into two categories. 90% of it was to be shipped to me and the remainder I was going to pickup in person or have picked up. The shipped part came in just as he told me. However we had serious complications with the part that was to be picked up. Finally Ray agreed to ship it 2nd day air on his own dime and not only that, but he threw in a few extras for me having to wait so long.

While the transaction wasn't perfect, I really appreciate Ray's communication and extra effort to make sure I was completely satisfied. He is a standup guy and very good to deal with. :thumbsup

I believe he still has a number of items for sale that can be seen here:

Ray's stuff for sale.

If you are interested in something don't try to PM or email him. Call him. I believe he gives his number several times in the post.

It's nice to see a positive post about a transaction. To all involved parties; good show. :thumbsup

This is a very nice thing to read. Nice to see someone takes pride in holding themselves accountable and follows through for people. :thumbsup

Thanks for posting this - it's nice to have some balance around here.

It's a great example, as well, for people selling and buying things here. Not every transaction will go perfectly, but communication, service, and a little bit of patience make up for any problems and keep both sides happy.

Always great to hear about a well done transaction.

:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Thanks. I was raised with good communication and honesty values. Oh By the way the person that spent 2000.00 with me I believe goes by the name plasma infusion. Thanks Bill for your order. You are the greatest.

The worst thing thing in the world is not letting your buyer know the status of thier order(s).

Thanks to all.
