Post Count not increasing!!!

what was the issue. I have made several posts lately and my count hasn't
increased at all?

OT and JY posts no longer count toward your total post count.

That's like saying walking doesn't count as exercise. Why the restriction? I don't get it. A post is a post.

As was explained in another thread in th OT section...

The OT and Junkyard are pruned of old post, and when pruned of these post the forum recounts so any post you had will be deducted at that time causing your post count to all the sudden drop one day... It's a much more proactive approach to simply not count these forums in the post count, and avoid post counts jumping all over the place every time the mods prune the forum...

It really amazes me how many people actually care or keep track of post counts, erase them completely and I wouldn't even notice nor care for the most part...

I think we should get stripes next to our names for years of service! It would simply show how long you've been around.

I never really cared about the post count either. I like the fact that they need to be prop related to count.

There should be some kind of property in existence that when the system recognizes that a post has been made then the post count number goes up, but that number doesn't link to old posts that get deleted. Isn't this the kind of thing that happens all the time on forums? I've been a member on forums where they delete old posts, but they don't affect how many times you've posted.

I'd be cool with some stripes as well
