Possible new project. Thumbs up! Terminator 2 Judgement Day.

I think I may have found my next project.

A Terminator 2 "Thumbs Up" statue! :thumbsup

I found this at a local shop:






I'm thinking of carving the endoskeleton parts right into the hand since it's solid resin. Then I'll add some liquid latex parts for the fleshy bits and then I think what the hardest part will be, fitting a glove on this.

This will be my first time carving something like this so if all of that goes well I'll make a cool lighted lava base for it. Might also include a section of chain next to the hand as well.

I started carving the middle finger knuckle joint and discovered it's not as solid as I thought! Oh well I can deal with that.

Here are some progress shots:

and with a section of tube that I'll use as the finger bones. Though they probably won't even been seen.


As you can see here, you really only see the knuckle joint, but under the latex and stuff it might look better. Idk, I'm new at this!
