Possible first ever build

Hi there guys,
Ive just posted in the newbies section that I have never actually built any of my own props and I don't really have any technical background. However, after placing an order for an FE golden gun and finding this site, I now really want to make something myself.

I was thinking about attempting the Goldeneye mine, what do you guys think as a first attempt? Too difficult?

And could anybody that has any experience with the mine please advise me on what materials and tools I will probably need?

Not a bad idea...
