Poe Dameron's Electrobinoculars

Hi there!
Newbie here, sorry if this is in the wrong section or anything. I'm a total newbie working on my first ever Cosplay! I'm doing Poe Dameron from the very start of TFA and I wanted to make it as accurate as possible. I'm still gathering a lot of the stuff so any help at all would be great! (Unfortunately the Pozu boots are out of sale and won't be in stock till September so I'm definitely looking for a replacement in that department)

But in particular this thread was for the, what I assume is, Electrobinoculars that Poe uses at the start of the movie. I can't seem to find any screenshots of them, I have of references from a (kind of HD) version of the movie. It seems like a big pair of Binocs, with a smaller pair above (which appear to have red lens) and then some sort of wheel presumably for focus between the two. I realise this isn't a very popular prop and I could just sort of make my own but I wouldn't really know where to start, so any help with that would be amazing! As in what I could use to put the two together and make the wheel ect, any advice is good advice!

Hope this wasn't too much text, thanks for any response!

Here's an album of pictures I took of the one at Star Wars Launch Bay: https://www.flickr.com/photos/141296299@N03/albums/72157666481959566

I like that they used a piston halve-like greeble on the top.

If they actually did use real binoculars (I haven't been able to ID them), the top ones look similar to the Vanguard DR-1025MG:

I can already see a few places where it differs from the Launch Bay prop.

Can't trust any of the Launch Bay props IMO; none of them are production used. They were made specifically for the exhibit which is why so many of them have obvious differences from the screen-used stuff (Rey's blaster, Luke's saber, these electrobinoculars, etc).

A shame since they're basically on permanent display. I guess it's better than having no reference of the other side of the quadnoculars.

Any additional or further findings ?
It is clearly a found parts prop, so real world items could be identified.
