Plo Koon Mash - closing the eye openings

I purchased a Rubies Plo Koon mask with the intention of making a 1:1 bust similar to the Sideshow Maul bust. They eyes of the mask are cut open and I need to close them off. Any suggestions on what to use? The pics I've seen seem to have some sort of mesh for the goggles.
