Pink wookiee hair help

I posted this in spfx also...So.....I am working a second version of my pink Star wars wookiee mask. I cast it in smooth cast 65d because I use it so much and travel with it a lot. I want to be able to punch in hair around the eyes, nose, and mouth. I need to create a layer of latex or silicone in just those areas. Does anyone have any creative ideas on how to do this or has anyone tried this before? Laying the hair on the plastic will be easy but getting those fine details around the eyes, mouth and nose area ...I really would like that detailed look of punching...help.... IMG_0233.JPG

You could add a thin layer of clay and smooth it out - maybe 1/8" thick. Then mold it to create an outer rigid mold, a layer of clay and your pink rigid mold on the bottom.
Then put silicone(many smooth on options) in between the 2 rigid layers.
When I built chewie - I punched hair into a silicone skin that was on top of a fiberglass under skull. Worked great!

Was your silicone skin a cast from your mold? My original plan was to use this as an underskull but decided that the hair punching didn't need to be the whole mask.

And I like the idea! I am now wondering if I could just attach a skin to the front.....

Mine was a silicone skin over the underskull. I bought the underskull and face from another RPF member. But it worked great. I latchhooked hair onto mesh and mounted it on the back up to the top of the head then punched hair in everywhere else. I used some silicone adhesive to attach the skin to the skull.
