ANHSABERS what he means is that in the whole balance pipe (BP) assembly, there are two parts that fit together that look very similar to one another: the “female” balance pipe interconnect and the “male” interconnect. Just like any plug and jack, one physically goes into the other to make a solid bond and hopefully be more difficult to separate from one another when you don’t want them to.
The actual OB1 saber’s emitter is a female balance pipe interconnect which has a depressed ring towards its center. The male interconnect is raised in that same area, so to have the sex changed (perhaps we should say gender now...?) on the male balance pipe interconnect (in order to make it more like the female one used in the films), one would need to machine or turn or lathe down that protruding area on the male interconnect.
userd1402 You should post up some final photos of the props you’ve built or collected and now have parted ways with... I mean, if you want to. I’m sure us RPFers are interested to see your works. I am anyways.
