Omg!!! It's awesome
Funny, I'm revisiting my Phantom build as well! I got lucky the first time sourcing a box. As for the bottom, I took some liberties.Reviving this thread after 10 years but finally decided to work on the voice box haha!
madmartian intructables was a good help but still trying to find the exact knobs used.
Also found a vintage box that had already all of the holes pre drilled so not complaining.
Just finished painting it. It’s vintage so some of the grey was chipped but shouldn’t be too hard to touch up, also add character!

I did find this knob for the volume that seemed pretty close but cannot tell if the disk had numbers or an arrow in the film. But the top part seems pretty close.

Also do we know what’s underneath the box? Just a jack output?
Thanks!
I was wondering when you would show up!![]()

Awesome to see more people making these. I think I spent more time searching for the perfect knob than I did anything else. Went to electronics surplus stores and searched through bin after bin of misc knobs. Eventually "close enough" works....still trying to find the exact knobs used.

Did we ever figured out, what that knob is on the far right? It's fairly flat, and I always thought it was a hole plug somehow haha
It looks more round in this screen grab. I went with a gold washer that I sandwiched mesh material from an old screen door.Could it have been a tooth edge washer maybe, and a silver mesh?
