Bob Salvatore (author of Vector Prime) told a story on twitter of meeting Peter at a signing. He said Peter put his hands around his neck and whispered that he wanted to talk to him later. Really, Peter just was having fun and wanted him to sign Vector Prime (for those not in the know, Vector Prime is where Chewie got a moon dropped on him).

Sad news. Also met him at a few cons and he seemed a nice guy. He had to be one of the luckiest people imaginable: is hired to wear a costume because he's tall and gets an unimaginable life. The wookie certainly won. Good for him.

So sad that a wonderful man passed away. It's really sad because we lost a lot of Star Wars actors.

Pretty soon the awesomeness of Star Wars will be nothing more then a great memory through the TV set much like it is with the RMS Titanic and her, may they rest in peace, survivors who all passed away. Great legends who we will never ever get to meet ever again.
