People talking at the movies!!! Come Vent With Me!

This is not a theatre horror story but it perfectly illustrates how some people just don't gives a rat's a** about ruining other peoples experience by yapping away.

My wife and I took our two year old son to 'Tivoli' a famous danish amusement park. It's expensive to get in and once inside you still have to pay to go on rides and such.

The wee one likes fish, so we paid to see their giant aquarium. It's a dark beautiful room with a great aquarium with tropic fish and sharks.

Soon this chinese tourist family arrives and the lady starts talking VERY loudly to her kid, and makes the poor kid pose in front of the fish for photos. Fish rarely stay in one place for long so she runs back and forth screaming at the child to stand here and there. It totally ruins the serene atmosphere. Soon people are leaving because of her!! That's when I walk up to her and blurts out 'WILL YOU PLEASE SHUT UP?' She looks kinda scared like what did I do? And just says Ok. A few minutes later they leave. And we get to enjoy the place. Jeeeze. I'm usually very polite but that just ticked me off!!

Out of curiosity, what relevance does the fact that you thought the lady was a Chinese tourist have anything to do with the story?

Took my 7 year old son to see Iron Man 3 this past Saturday for a 10:10 a.m. show. Got there nice and early, only one couple there already, picked a good location and settled in. As showtime got closer, a handful of people trickled in, all choosing seats a comfortable distance away, topping off at about 12 people total in the theater. Just as the movie begins, another father comes in with two boys, probably about my son's age.

Nobody for three rows in front of us. Nobody for three rows behind us. Nobody else in our row. Wouldn't you know it, they all sit down about three seats away from us in the same row. They chatted away as they got settled. Soon after, the two boys started fighting with each other. I gave the exaggerated look over a few times. No results. I "shhhh"''d a couple times. No results. I finally decided to pull up and move to another area of the theater. So much for getting there early and sitting where I wanted.

I thought I'd be safe with an early Saturday morning showing a couple weeks after the movie's release but I was mistaken. I've become super-sensivite to movie theater etiquette and am appalled at the lack of courtesy that seems to have become the norm.

Nothing, just telling the story, Asian tourists are usually very polite and quiet, this one wasn't. She could have been from any country, that's not the point, she was loud and annoying.

Oh another fun little thing that irritates me is people who deliberately park wrong (I only put this here because it happened at a movie theater).

So this stellar example of the boundless intellect of mankind decides to drive his brand new pickup truck (all the bells and whistles, jacked up to the point where a stepladder is needed to get in the damned thing), which is perfectly fine.

What is NOT fine is when you park this new truck in such a way that FOUR PARKING SPOTS ARE TAKEN.

I can't imagine that he was too happy to come outside and see this written on his windshield...

THE WAY YOU PULLED IN MAKES ME WISH YOUR FATHER HAD PULLED OUT.
