i dunno if this should be in the junkyard or not... its a WTB, but, its not at the same time. :lol
i want one of these blues brothers showbills... badly.
i'd guess its roughly 11x17.
can any of our resident paper props gurus, like Jedifyfe do these graphics up? and maybe get them printed?

That is classic enough [the movie] that I think there would be interest all the way around ....

Would want one for myself and one for my brother.

That'd be simple and quick to do. I'm about to walk out the door but if no one else whips one up before I get back, I'll do it.

I can do it. Here us a shot form the movie, this one looks a little different...

I'm pretty sure that pic is the poster that came with a Blues Brothers book (I can't remember the title! Blues Brothers: Unclassified?) from about the same time the movie was released.

That was a great book for paper prop fans. Plenty of great pictures.

I cut the Jake & Elwood figure in vinyl once so I might have them as vector art already.

I'll look.

Be happy to contribute that to the cause.

I may even have the poster.

Another case of getting bored at work this afternoon, which leads to the attachment... :)... I basically resized the image to 300 DPI (it's more 11x15) and retraced the Jake and Elwood images - kludgy for now, but hopefully we can find higher rez versions somwhere... I know I've seen the drawing elsewhere, perhaps on one of their albums - hopefully someone here has it... that way we'd make sure to get the signatures as well, since my attempts to redraw those this afternoon looked like crap...

The fonts are close, but not totally accurate... it looks like variants of Alternate Gothic and Kabel...

huh. never seen that available. however, like was stated, that poster isnt screen accurate. i'd LOVE a screen accurate one.

The originals are 14" x 22", and were printed by Tribune Showprint, Earl Park Indiana. Y'all might want to save this ASAP, in case the owner grumbles about the bandwidth... :D

There's an original one of these up on eBay right now for nearly 10k- if the guy actually gets that, I'm going to really consider having mine appraised professionally. :confused
