So, apparently I don't know when to quit. I've got my Arkham City AND Classic Harley Quinn costumes, I've got a commision for a custom vest, the search is on for a pattern I can use for a Gatekeeper costume, and I want to do a Princess Leia costume for Free Comic Book Day next year so I can hang out with the Midwest Garrison of the 501st.
Now, this is partially so I can get tips on construction, links on where to purchase, etc for any of the above, but it's also partially so I can ask a second opinion.
Apparently at some point Simplicity had a pattern for an actual Princess Leia costume, but it's discontinued and impossible to find. I managed to find something close, though. It's a McCall's angel pattern.
Obviously it would need to be altered, but how is it for a base? I figure, add the collar and the hood, add an accurate belt, use a heavier fabric, add some knee high slits in the sides, and I've got a pretty good Leia. What do you think?
