Thank you for letting me try the Vader jacket on. That was one of the highlights of the show for me and everyone that has seen my photo in it asked why I did not buy it on the spot....I would like to be at the top of the order list, so I will be watching for that to hit.
Is the plan to stick with the all black shoulder bells?
Back from Celebration VI and man was it awesome! I don't even know where to start with all the thank you's...from Bandit Jedi to Art Andrews...Scott from The Dented Helmet and Bryan Ono of eFX..... and a whole BUNCH of others that really I'll just never be able to list completely.
A sincere thanks to all. :thumbsup
Being our first SW Celebration show, honestly I didn't know what to expect 'reaction' wise to our leather goods finally being shown at this uber awesome event...but as it turns out, the fans and attendees were incredibly excited and couldn't wait to try on the new Vader and Fett jackets!
Vader is done...that's the finished jacket.:thumbsup
It's got the Vader feel and philosophy, and is incredibly effective at being that STAR WARS jacket without it being 'in your face' about it. Vader is such a complex 'costume' so we opted for the look and feel of Vader as an everyday wearable jacket without the...'oh look, that guy is wearing a Darth Vader costume on his bike', look.
Also, the sleeves are removable. I had the room based on the armor 'lip' just over the shoulders so essentially - why not make them removable.
Fett, with it's incredibly striking design and color base is 'close' and awesome looking...but needs a little more work. The colors are not quite there yet, and the overall design of the armor is just a little too wide and wonky.
This is where a special shout out to all who helped critique this jacket is really in order. :thumbsup With all this new input, you can now trust that this jacket will be 'that much better' once done.

Wow, to be mentioned with the likes of Art is a great Honor, but the true honor was meeting you, David.
The work that you do and the product that you give to the fans is exactly what we all dream of having.
With a challenge put out by David on the UD facebook page, I got to have the bragging rights of being the first to try on the Boba Fett Jacket. A surreal experience in itself. The quality of even this prototype that was completed in only 3 weeks was still above and beyond in state of awesome.
The Vader jacket is VERY enticing and just looking at it will pull you to The Darkside. The sleeves being removable were an extra surprise and had me vascillating between which one I would get!
I had the extreme pleasure of spending most of Saturday at the booth and helping David out a little as I did bring my Sam Flynn Jacket to represent the Tron: Legacy line (which got some attention) but also getting to see all the people that stopped in their tracks as they saw the Fett jacket and Vader Jacket. Quite a few couldn't believe that the Stormtrooper suit was leather at first glance. Everyone who stopped by the booth was highly impressed with each product and moreso with David as he took as much time possible with each person who came to the booth and made them feel quite welcome to chat and try on the gear.
As I told David, when I first talked to him on Thursday, his product singlehandedly changed the hobby for me. The only "replicas" I want to collect now are the kind I can wear. I love these suits and will continue to purchase these phenomenal pieces of art that David creates.
The pics in David's quoted post are me on Thursday as I was the first to try on The Fett and then again on Saturday when I wore my Sam Flynn jacket and did a short stint as "the Tron model" haha
