Odyssey 5 (Showtime series circa 2002)- Did anyone like it besides me?

I am probably RPF search-challenged, but I am not finding other threads here and wondered if others liked it or have an Odyssey 5 collection.

For those unfamiliar with Odyssey 5, it was a Canadian science fiction series which aired on Showtime in 2002. Shuttle astronauts are on a mission in space when the Earth blows up. They meet a sentient being who transports their present day memories into the bodies of the astronauts five years prior with the hope they will be able to prevent the destruction of Earth. The effects were low budget, the dialogue might be hokey, but the show was really fun.

I loved it, but my bar for being entertained is notoriously low. And I'd watch two hours of Peter Weller reading the phone book, so there's that. Sorry to not be more help. :)

lol. I agree, peter weller's the best. I never knew he was a professor or so into history until he was on HIstory channel. Nice guy from what i hear. I started watching this show when Sci-fi was showing it and suddenly they stopped showing it.

got killed too early and should have at least gotten one more season before being binned. it got VERY little play in the UK either.

It was one of those shows who had a chance to get even better had they been given the chance. Dark Skies was that way too.

The show was doing really well, then Showtime decided that they didn't want to be known for their s.f. programing anymore. So they killed off all of their s.f. programs.

Forgot all about this show until you mentioned... Very disappointed when it was killed.

Most recently, I was disappointed when Kings was canceled.

More like in a galaxy far far away there was a 20th century like world....

Ian McShane is the King of Gilboa fighting an endless war with his neighbor - tanks and all.

There are supernatural elements at play in the making of a new king, yada yada.. It ran 10-15 episodes.
