If you're not sure what I'm talking about, take a look at the avatar 'racprops' has here on the RPF. That's exactly the piece I'm talking about.
The episode of "I, Mudd" in the original series of Star Trek, features many androids wearing these light up neclaces signifying what model number they are. Towards the end of the episode, they start blinking. It looks like a frosted piece of acrylic with a simple lightsource and a decaled number on the front with a chain.
Are these available? Has anyone ever done these before? I'd love to get Norman's.

Here's the avatar that I did a few years back:

They were actually hollow and likely a found piece or vacformed with dry transfer numbering. I've got some good close ups of the "hero" piece. I'll up them in a minute...

Static version...

Hero version with approximately 20 GOW or GOR bulbs...

Almost looks like it could open and appears to have separators inside like a travel pill box.

Not sure about "dividers", the dark lines are likely copper terminal bars that the bulbs are soldered to. Here's a few more pictures.

Awhile back I saw a poorly shaped, static version on Ebay but not since and I've not ever seen on on the prop boards. :(

Here's the one from Rich Coyle's site: RacProps Page on I,Mudd

You can see that this one is clearly a static version. The hero had a thin clear shielded copper wire braided into the chain and soldered to each eyelet screwed into the translucent case.

I agree, the first thing I thought of was a pill case or a dentures case. Something along those lines.
