Nintendo is releasing a miniature NES with 30 built-in games

Amazon gave me my 10.00 credit so if one of these get back in stock and i can get it that'll help but if not i have my eye on a few things this spring...after i pay down this credit card bill from christmas...anyone want to buy a slightly evil soul? lol

You guys sure manage to find some over priced cables :lol

EDIT: minor rant: why the **** do HDMI cables have to be so expensive?!? Since the controller cables are so short, I figured I'd get a long HDMI cable, but damn, they're expensive.

All depends where you purchase them. They are over priced at a lot of places. A while back I bought a 5 meter HDMI cable for around $5-$6. I have seen 1 meter cables costing $20-$30

They sold out instantly on Amazon, so that even people who were early and refreshing like mad got no love... And now, in that exact same location they are selling the scalper ones at inflated prices.

That's some next level hubris on the part of Amazon.

hearing this reminds me of "the great refresh of oct 21, 2015" when the whole internet stood still and silent as thousands of amazon servers crashed over the demanding thirst quenching of a pepsi perfect

Amazon's really good at letting people sell stuff at 3x the price knowing that it's a ripoff. At this point i'd buy a japanese version of this thing as most of the games aren't heavy on text to deal with and honestly i know Final Fantasy by heart at this point.

I dont understand their pricing. I was trying to get my son a playschool galactic heroes x-wing on there and they ranged from $100-$800.

Does anyone ever buy that $800 one?

I'm sure someone does. These are the same morons who go to walmart while the toys are being unpacked with a list of the ones that are hard to find thanks to hasbro only putting a few per case and buys them before they hit the shelf. I've seen 12.00 transformers selling for 50.00.

Yep, saw this happen when the new Star Wars movie came out, guys just went in and filled up multiple shopping carts to horde the action figures in the hopes of flipping them for a profit.

Anyway, here's a nice review of the mini from Mike Mattei at Cinemassacre - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HZmoSHMNg0

I've been thoroughly enjoying mine :D

I'm sure a few million units will be available in the next 10 days for those who haven't gotten one yet.

I spent the evening at Walmart waiting in line for the midnight release. Second one in line with a total of eight people. Unfortunately, this Walmart only received five units.

It's been a long time since I've held a classic NES controller. All the nostalgic memories started flooding back.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the device. I like the demo mode where Mario and Luigi fight each other over what color background they want while sprites from all the different games play in the background. Love the video options too. Much needed improvement when compared to the Virtual Console releases on the Wii/Wii U.

Apparently walmart's trying to stretch out the ones they get by selling only a few each day a week. So far amazon hasn't gotten any more in and honestly i'm not sure i'd even bother trying with them again. I'll grab one after the holidays.

I dont get how the hell they think this is a valid marketing tactic, by creating a media ****storm by not having enough units. If people want the damn thing, sell it to them. Its annoying and makes me not want to buy the damn thing. I was already on the fence about it, because my old school nintendo still works, but figured this would be an easy way to hook it up to my new TV with a couple games I dont have any more, but when they pull crap like this it makes me wonder if I should even buy it. Cmon Nintendo. Dont be a *******. Youre already going down the sega road as it is...

It lessens out of stock time.

If a consumer sees something out of stock for weeks on end they get frustrated, but if the notion that if they get some tomorrow is appealing the consumer will return.

Was going to get one; even looked at options to get one in the 2nd release - such a balls up in Australia I'll just save myself the hassle and get classic controllers for the old wii, take it out and dust off and play off that. Nintendo can go jump
