RIP Brigadier.

Really sad about this news. The Brigadier was my favorite character on Doctor Who outside of The Doctor himselves. I had hoped they would be able to work in one last cameo for him but it won't be. Very glad that I got to meet him once, many, many years ago.

That's a shame, but he did live a good long while, and at least from casual observation, had a great life.

Plus, he'll be remembered by legions of fans as a beloved character. I'd say that's coming out ahead when the final tally is taken.

My wife and I got to know him back in 2003. He was a gentleman and a beautiful example of what is best in humanity. The sun will shine a little less brightly without him around.

I had really really hoped to see him appear once more in Dr Who, I know he was in The Sarah Jane Adventures but in 'Doctor Who' was where he belonged, my favourite supporting character from the series bar none, he will be truly missed
