Newbie saber question: Ultra Sabers or...?

Hey guys, I've been a Star Wars fan since I was little and have made a few costumes for me and my family but I've never gotten a lightsaber. I'd really like to get one this Christmas and wasn't sure which direction to go, and I knew you guys would have some good input. (Much thanks in advance.)

I'm looking for a saber that:
- is bright
- is reasonably durable (I have toddlers), but I don't need a heavy-duty-full-fight one
- not a screen-replica (I'd rather not have a luke or a particular character one.)
- I don't want to build it myself (I know, it's awesome, but I'd rather not with my first saber. so busy)
- something I can get by Christmas

My price range is around $400-ish. Is Ultra Sabers my best option or is there something else I should be looking at?

I was looking at Ultra Sabers' Monarch hilt, I liked that it was kind of smooth and pretty looking.

Much thanks,

I'd go with an Ultrasaber. I have 2 with sound and a few without. I've had no issues with any of them. They're not at all screen accurate, but you said that's not a problem.
Saberforge makes nice ones too, but a lot of guys won't do business with them because of issues with the owner.I have a Prodigal Son and it's nice.
Also look at Saberz.com . I don't have one yet, but they look pretty good.
Don't be afraid to build your own. Go to The Custom Saber Shop and use their Builder to come up with a design you like. You can get all the electronics pre wired so no soldering is involved.
Good luck.
Don Mac.
