New sculpt - Cantina Bartender

Hey all,

My other busts were gettin' thirsty so I figured I'd better sculpt them up a bartender

Just finished this one up. There aren't a ton of refs out there on this character so I really went for the vibe... the feel of the character. Wanted a quick glance to tell you just what this guy's like. (gruff, sneering, hairy.)

The sorta guy who's shirt you'd tug on and say, "I'll have one of those."

Anyway, some pics below... naturally my camera killed all the detail but what can you do. He's got a lot of layered color on him. Sponge work, fleck work, airbrush, handpaint... a little of everything. Glass eyes to boot (though I may switch to slightly smaller iris's for a bit more "beady" look)

I had a lot of fun with this one. Tried to do the sculpt fairly quickly and tried to stay loose and not over-think it. Good times

WOW.. I intentionally waited to scroll down until after reading the write up. So in viewing the top most portion of the head, I thinking, "Cool subject -- let's see how real this looks". When I saw the skin tones, my jaw dropped.

I really hate all the over-used cliche'd compliments used on the RPF, but I gotta use one here -- looks like you decapitated the actor.

Have you thought of running a bit more grey in the hair, Tom? Or was it really that evenly black?
