I have to brag for Ramiel

I have to brag for Ramiel. I contacted him recently for a commission of some artwork for my 18 month anniversary with my girlfriend.

(yes we do little gifts for each other on the "half" marks as well as anual ones)

I sent him some photos of us and asked for a drawing of us in toon form. I wanted to print a small poster to frame of the final product. He not only kicked ass at the job, but nailed our facial expressions and character that weren't even shown in the photos provided. He NAILED my girlfriends tattoos perfectly. I was floored and seriously impressed.

And here are the photos I sent him......

Wow, what a great Thread. Ramiel and Darth Saber, that is some great stuff. Darth, your lighting is amazing. It is all so inspiring. I have to get drawing again.

For the hell of it I am taking a shot at Digital inking and coloring I just started So I do suck compared to others in this thread:confused

Still tinkering with coloring and such.

I've been into pinstriping lately so I got the urge to draw some cars. I hope the urge lasts! I want to do one with sweeps and ellipse guides. I never get past the sketch phase of a drawing.

Franz, that is great! The way you did the shading gives it the look of being done with felt tip pens, like we used to use. I still have my Dads old set of felt tips he used for sign sketches and art. That drawing reminded me of art he used to do.

Thanks! I usually use markers but colored those in Photoshop because my markers were at home. I love Old School techniques!

I did most of the ships on this page with markers.
