Hey,any artist that can pay the bills with his work is pretty badass in my book :) .

I like the gallery of your stuff in the Miami Herald website (thanks TK9120 for posting that! :D ). Were can I see more of your stuff?

I hope you don't mind DS. I was going to link the interview you gave to Creativend mag. I saw the Miami Herald one first.

I drew Guile from Street Fighter being that he is my top favorite character. I know I did a cruddy job but hey I was bored one night and decided to just draw alittle..

Art was never my strong point, especially realist stuff, but I use an airbrush and other things for weathering for my new hobby.

My youngest on the other hand is showing some amazing flair for painting and it's one of her favorite things to do of a day.

Last week she did this one of a tractor

Yesterday she brought home this one in her nursery day book

She now has her own art corner in the house and can draw or paint as much as she likes :thumbsup

Hehe,that's awesome Canobi! My little guy LOVES to draw but I can't get him to keep it on paper! Instead it's the walls,couch and table. A couple times he "helped" by drawing on some of my drawings.

Have you guys done the popsicle stick artwork? My kids love it when I get out the hot glue gun and all the various sticks and we start making stuff. I have a really nice pyramid my daughter made hanging above my TV

@greylocke - When would you say would be a safe age to introduce a kid to hot glue? I'd love to branch out and do more art projects with my son but I'm raising my first kid so it's all new to me :)

@DaddyfromNaboo - that's great!

@Daddy from Naboo that is WOW! Nice.

@Schlitzie I was letting my kids use the hot glue gun under my supervision when they were 5. I always would do something first after explaining how the glue and the gun got hot, showing the glue gun turning a piece of paper brow, from it's heat is a good visual to show them just how hot it actually is, then I would show them how they could connect various things various ways, and I sat there while the made their creation. after a few months they were even cleaning up after themselves, which is stuff a lot of kids won't do.

So just do it "with" your kids showing them how it can be dangerous and then over time let them do more and more of it themselves. But even after the have been doing it awhile you still need to make it plain they don't do it first without permission and second it's only done at a specific place, our is the island in the kitchen so we can use old newspapers to cover the top to protect the laminate. I find it's much easier to supervise if they are basically in the center of my house where EVERYONE can see them :)
