Beh. That bike. What is it, a 16" front wheel? Plus an extended swingarm...film designers always do that and it never looks good. The extra carapace on the bike really emphasises the small front wheel; they should have upped it a lot.
Oh well; still hate the Dredd production design but the film itself rocked. Hoping for the same thing here.

Is the RoboCop reboot the only movie with not one, but *two* threads dedicated to it?
This one is/was a good idea; of the thirty-odd pages of the other thread, about 85% of it is bashing the costume, so having a dedicated thread to the costume makes sense

For the record: I'm not lovin' the suit. They would have done better grafting a humanesque head onto one of the DARPA robots, or this guy (SARCOS).
After seeing a couple of interviews with the reboot director, I think the storyline may be ok - but no matter how good the story, that costume isn't going to make it, unless Kinnaman is one *hell* of an actor - as in "Oscar material".

Saw this posted somewhere online, I think this would have been a whole hell of a lot better than what it is now. All black, ya kidding me?
This was online for only a day or two before the studio had it pulled. It's light-years better than the RubberCop suit. All we can do is hope that they cgi the heck out of what we've seen.

Legacy effects is working on it, pressumably the suit, so I doubt they would just go with a generic black rubber suit. Considering there aren't any CGI markers on it I'm hoping the black suit is standard police issue and the above image is what Robocop becomes but considering there's a teaser poster of what appears to be just a black thigh with 'Robocop' stamped on it, don't hold your breath.

For me its not so much that its all black but the quality of the suit. Like many have said its Rubbercop.

To Echo what eveyone else is saying, it just looks like a guy in a suit. I agree, the " Rubbercop " moniker is well deserved.

I can see what you are saying. If you have played any of the Halo games, The Spartans wear an under suit that the armor is placed on top of. Let us hope this may be the case here, where this is merely him walking around and getting used to the suit.
Legacy is also the ones who made the halo suits for at least some of the live action stuff i think, or at least Forward unto dawn so they know how to make a good suit. Sadly if the designer doesn't they're stuck making a turd of a suit because it's what the hacks in charge want.

I dunno, at this point I can't see them redesigning the suit. They'd probably have to reshoot almost the entire film if that were the case. It'd make more financial sense to just put the film out as is an take whatever comes rather than spend all that money to appease the fans, sad to say.
