Hello everyone!
I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining this incredible community! After diving into some of the threads here, I'm genuinely blown away by the knowledge and passion you all bring to this art form. It's like walking into a museum where everyone's a curator AND a superfan!
I have about a million questions (okay, maybe just 999,999), but I'll start with the big one: Where can I dive deep into the history and relationships between companies like Sideshow Collectibles, Cinemaquette, HCG, Prime Studios, Hannah Li, Queen Studios, purearts,Blitzway, ICONS, Timeless collectibles, Chronicle Collectibles and Hot Toys? I keep seeing names like HCG and Cinemaquette listed together and my brain goes into detective mode - are they the same company? Parent/subsidiary situation? Secret handshake partners? I'd love to have intelligent conversations without accidentally calling Hot Toys a different company or something embarrassing!
A bit about me: I'm a massive Terminator fan who used to frquent Statue Forum back in 2006. My prize possessions include the Cinemaquette 1/3 Terminator T-800 Endoskeleton and the Sideshow Chrome Endoskull 1:1 from Stan Winston Studios. I've been away from the scene for years, and coming back feels like I missed out on so many opportunities! There have been SO many amazing releases since then.
Currently sitting on the Prime 1 T-800 Endoskeleton waiting list with fingers, toes, and optical sensors crossed! My biggest fear? Accidentally buying a knockoff.
I'm genuinely excited to make new friendships with fellow collectors who understand why spending mortgage payments on plastic people makes perfect sense! I've already enjoyed reading and supporting many discussions here, and if there's anything this old-timer can help with, just holler!
