New Iron Man 3 Pics(possibly a preview of the MK VIII)

Hey guys! Just thought this was worth sharing. I've been planning for a while to build the new suit from Iron Man 3 as soon as enough pics started surfacing, and here is the start!

I've read several spoiler alerts that the IM3 will involve the extremis arc from the comic. So it might be that this new armor is the result of the extremis, as of the design was derived from the bleeding edge armor.

And this one... LOTS o' shadows.

Not sure what to think of it yet. The design looks tight, but seems to be quite a bit more gold than red on this one. It'll stand apart from the others for sure. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

They might be trying to do something similar to the Extremis storyline, but I don't think they're going right back to the angular uni-beam design that's so iconic of the Extremis Armor from the comics.

The little you can see of the design so far sort of looks similar to the Bleeding Edge Armor from the comics. Again, more pics of that armor that were posted up on comicbookmovie.com:

Whatever the final design, it'll probably pay tribute to some past designs from the books, but should be somewhat unique. Man, still almost a year away...

Completely agree; I had a feeling they'd might take it in this direction too.

Did anyone notice that his arc reactor has changed shape? Looks like it's more of a diamond shape now. Not sure of that will end up in the movie, but I find it interesting non-the-less.
