"NEW" Graflex 3cell

I just recently found bargain deal on ebay and got myself graflex 3cell flash hilt. Isn't in good conditions but i would it it 6/10 overall. For 27 pounds i think i shouldn't complain. There is a few bits which i think are beyond repair and need to replace them(if i can find some parts) like
1. top of the hilt where "clamp" is... - its moving and im not sure if it supposed to be like that
2. Its v.old seems like so lots of scraches in general
3. Missing Glass Eye Thumbscrew

Any ideas guys???

Yes the bulb socket clamp is supposed to move. A bit of super glue behind the rivet will stop that.

Other wise, if you want to replace the graflex clamp you could, but I kinda like the real weathering... gives it character.

And as far as the missing glass eye, you could do an ESB version. One of those (I believe the cave in Dagobah) had one of the second red buttons missing.

thank you. ill def go for ANH saber. Need to order some conversion kit. Probably from Blast-Tech as im quite confused with all the options around net. I think guys have quite accurate one. Glass Eye might not work with mine as there is hole there , so i cant screw the glass eye inside it. I might glue it thou...will see.

The glass eye screws into that hole. If you look closely there are a couple threads for it.

Hi guys, Its been a while. Since my last post (ages ago) i completed my ANH Luke Lightsaber. I only have one slight problem regarding Mylar Tape Strip. As my graflex is naturaly old and weathered, when i applied Mylar tape to cover the Graflex logo on the connector, the colour is totally different, as tape looks brand new. Does anyone have idea how to change it? or what to use on it to bring it to the natural look of my beaten-up graflex.

This prop myth was busted here many years ago.

I always like the way the bulb holder rattles about. In ANH I swear you can hear the 'clink' of the bulb socket moving when Obi Wan takes it out of the chest. At least that's what it sounds like to me!

Congrats on your first Graflex :thumbsup

Based on the considion of the flash, I would have built a ROTJ vader saber from the body and store the clamp for a future Obi ANH, but that´s just me

if the clamp is too rusty or old,and other parts of the graflex are quite in better condition(clamp is made from steel,oter parts from brass) you can find a replica clamp,make some minor scratces on it,put it on the graflex instead of original one,adn keep your old clamp for a OB1 lightsaber...

Really? I never noticed that. I always thought that there is something covering graflex logo. Sonthe loo was visible???
