Been meaning to post this here for a while and finally got around to it
I have had it running in our thread in the costuming section but thought it needed one of its own here :love

This is a build I started in May of this year for a group project we did for the movie mania event at the NSC which we completed in September. As I was building all the armour too i had to put this on hold till all that was done and do a basic build at the event.
this was a joint project with RPB member judge west who did all the plans for this . These went through many changes as more pics became available as did the build.
Its based around a glock 17, as the movie prop was, and I started with a cheap airsoft springer with the intention of adding a gas or electric blowback version later.
Here's an early pic of the first parts . this was mostly scrapped as more pics appeared but some made it through !
I rebuilt the mag housing and added the rear and piece behind the grip
This is the point where it was put aside until the event where I did a basic build and Judge west added all his cool electronics , LCD screen , light up superbright LED barrel and sounds B)
After the event I stripped it down completely and began a more accurate build with the intension of using the master to make molds from. I also wanted the masters to fit snuggly around the airsoft glock so the blowback feature could be achieved as in the movie.

Upper receiver added
rear slide parts test fit

I got to a point where I needed the Blowback glock so went for a gas version as they seemed to have a faster and more realistic action . I had to make a few slight changes but it fitted in well and was virtually the same size as the springer.
I then worked on the rear slide and built a basic block to test out the blowback action
heres a vid of the blowback in action

Been perfecting the rear slide since then and adding the right hand side larger section pieces in readiness to test the blowback agaib with these.
top sights left to do and the section with the lettering on. Will need to look into getting it laser cut I think to get it looking right.
