New Doctor Who trailer

I"m actually really excited about this, it does feel like an unknown again, in the way that the last year or so of Who hasn't.

The Doctor is facing off the Weeping Angels from "Blink" again? That'd be awesome. My mom and dad actually liked "Blink" and said that should have been a story for a movie instead of a "Doctor Who" episode because of how good it was.

Speaking of which it wa great to see Carey Mulligan pick up the Best Actress Bafta last night - and of course she's had an Oscar nomination too - cant think of another Dr Who actor who's had an Oscan nom before (but I'm sure someone can think of one)

As far as Mat Smith's accent is concerned he was born and lived just 30 miles south from me so would have thought he has a typical south-midlands accent. Interestingly he played footy for the team I support- but had to give it up at just 16 with a back injury before he could turn pro.

Cheers

I really hope Moffatt gives us some Halloween specials too. The show is crying out for that.

No-one really gives a crap about halloween in the UK, so unlikeley.

I thought the teaser was godawful, sorry. I really hope this is going to be better than just about everything I've seen so far suggests. Smith is still doing zero for me other than a slight Herman Munster vibe.

Does anyone know if the music in the trailer is new, or borrowed from something else. I kind of like it.

Powell Estate? Ugh. Rose's mum and (early) Mickey were the absolute worst things in the revived show. Can't stand RTDs various agendas. It's not that they're PC, it's that they're freakin' unsubtle, smack-you-in-the-face stuff.

While I wasn't much of a fan of Rickey or Jackie at first, the one I really didn't like was Donna. Too whiny and bitchy.

As for the agenda... I didn't see a problem. So, Jack likes to hit on guys, and they showed him kissing some of them, which occasionally lead to more. So what? It was just a drop in the bucket compared to traditional "straight" shows. If anything, I think it was pretty balanced on what it showed for romance across sexualities within the show. If it's good for the goose...

Just to put it in context, that trailer was made to be shown in 3D, apparently. There's a lot to get used to with Matt Smith but even watching that trailer a couple of times I'm warming to him.

Reminded me of one of those weird video shorts they do on the SciFi channel before a show starts.

I never followed the old show, so that being said looking as a new potential viewer that doesn't interest me at all.... :(

The new sonic's extension function looks and sounds cool. Seems it has that push button spring release Neill had on the prototype MFX sonics. Can't wait to buy the metal toy.
