So I'm new to making costumes with such detail like I've been seeing on here, but I need some advice on a costume I wanna make. So for this Halloween I want to make a Nightwing costume, but don't know how to approach it, any tips?

These are some pictures I'm using as references

there are a couple of threads on here from people who sew. find them. they should be able to help

I saw someone on here named doody that made an amazing nightwing costume, I don't exactly know how he did it or how much it was to make it

And I was thinking about sewing something together but I'm not sure how I could get it to turn out with all the details and parts

take your time, and read everything you see. You might be better off just looking for superhero costume threads and seeing how they went about it. It may seem like many people on here can whip things up that look movie quality in just a couple days, but in reality they've spent weeks or months planning, researching and building their costume. So don't get discouraged if what you're doing doesnt work out right away or you have trouble.

Im a big fan of Nightwing and I made a costume for some cosplay at a few cons I went to recently. I did an armored look, like if was an alternate universe, but basically just my own twist. I used pieces of motorcycle offroad gear and painted pieces and added a resin front and back piece for the logo type design. I actaully met Marv Wolfman while I had it on and he really liked it. Take your time with it, figure out what you actually want it to be and don't settle for anything that you aren't happy with :) Good luck.
