New 52 Green Arrow Help

Hey, all. I'm interested in making a New 52 style Green Arrow. I have only seen one person tackle it, and they quoted me an outrageous price for just the vest. I am decent at sewing, so I figure I can manage making the vest myself, I just am having trouble finding a suitable pattern, which is why I thought maybe I'd outsource that particular piece of the costume.

If anyone can steer me in the direction of a pattern that could be modified into this vest, or in the direction of someone who already knows how to make it could easily figure it out, I would much appreciate it!

Closest thing I've seen to this one is the Smallville version on cosplay sky.

You'd need to mod it a fair bit but might be worth a shot. I'm sure someone else here will know of something closer but at least its one option.

This isn't really a vest. The shoulders extend too far, and it has a hood. You might be better off looking for a zip-up hooded sweatshirt pattern and ignoring the sleeves for the pattern. You would have to modify how you cut the front panels so that you get the divide at the bottom, and you may want to order the hoodie a size smaller than you normally wear, so that it fits you snugly (or modify the measurements on the pattern yourself).

The piping and the black material presents its own sewing challenges, but having the pattern might help you figure that out.

I actually was eying that vest, Nat.

Vox, that's actually an idea I hadn't even thought of. I've been calling it a vest, but you're right, it's closer to a hoodie.
