Netflix - Dark props

Dang seeing this makes me want to give it a try, would certainly take months to acquire all the parts though! Might try Ines' box first if the one linked above ever goes back in stock.

I already have the left side ammeters, vintage German ones from the 1950's. I also have the Samsonite case. I would love to collaborate on a Machine run with anyone else who is passionate and wants to collaborate on getting one made. Seems like Martha's machine could be a much easier project for some of the talented modellers/printers here at the RPF, though.

I've learned that Netflix produced a version of Tannhaus' book Eine Reise durch die Zeit, which was given away as a promotional item for journalists. The interior isn't really a book about time travel--as a promo item, it's mostly things like maps, family trees, pictures of various documents and background stuff for the show. But even so, I would love to get my hands on a copy, if only to have a cover printed from "official" (if not necessarily the original) high-res graphics. Has anyone managed to track one of these down? And if so, can you scan the front/back covers for us??

Wow, this is amazing. We really need to track down a copy of this book, it has the machine's blueprint in it!! I would buy one today if I could. They also produced a book for S03 that was given to the crew, it had another big look at the blueprint:

Yes, the St. Christopher medal is 21MM(it comes in like 4 sizes) and can be found at many church suppliers. I got mine here:

Thank you very much for the link! Appreciate the help.

It’s nice that quite a few of the smaller props are still fairly easy to pick up! I’ve got a genuine 1986 Germany 1 penny coin on the way, which I’ll drill and add the red string to. Also picked up a Saint Christopher pendant.

Off to a decent start! A bit too much for me to handle atm but I really do hope a group takes it on, would toss a decent amount of money for a nice replica. I agree that Martha's could be a good starting place for a machine thats not too labor/research intensive.

I think the issue with the machine is that it's way too expensive to commit to making unless you have really good blueprints. I hope we can get a decent scan of the actual print in the next year or so, then we could really start in earnest. Like you don't want to do watercut and laser etched brass until you know the design is right. Although I would settle for a printed machine where brass could be added on down the line.

Another big mystery on the box is the side handles, I have looked at a million vintage brass handles trying to find them. Also, the central circular spinning sections seem to be stacked brushless motors but I can't find the exact model. Anyone recognize them from this top down view?

Looks like someone on Etsy is making a time machine. I just came across the listing about an hour ago. They’re in the “pre-order” phase. I have no affiliation with the maker or anything and I’m not looking for one myself. Just wanted to share. There were a few renderings. Maybe they are also on here?

I’ve been looking for a copy of the season 2 Tannhaus promo/press kit book since I heard about it a year ago. I haven't found one. I would pay a very fair priced for a copy.

If anyone sees this and has one to sell or even just a lead on where to find one, please feel free to contact me. I’d greatly appreciate it.

Having worked in the media for several years in the past, I know first hand that the vast majority of promo and press kit items are usually given away to reviewers who generally may not appreciate them and sadly most end up getting thrown in the trash. 95% of it probably belongs there. Usually, it’s junk and it piles up quick. Faster than you can get rid of it. It would accumulate in a bin marked “free stuff” at the place where I worked and at the end of the month whatever was left in it would get taken to the dumpster.

I think the third season book that was mentioned was exclusively for cast and crew and was given as a wrap present. It contains photos that were taken by Bo during production on set. I am sure that it is very rare. I’ve seen a few of the photos it contains posted online and they offer a really unique and personal glimpse into the production. I doubt I’d ever have the opportunity to own such a treasure. I’d consider myself lucky just to see it’s contents.

After seeing the listing, I would be very wary of this. They show a nice rendering that has been posted here, but also two other very sloppy models that are a disaster. Could be a scam.

Yikes, I would steer clear. 0 sales, 0 reviews, and every item they sell is free on Thingiverse.

Oh, I have no interest whatsoever in it. Not to detract from the makers efforts or anything. I just am not inclined to invest in anything solely based on a rendering. I also do not have the space for a time machine at present. My house is overflowing with props, replicas and collectibles. I have ot limit myself to smaller items until I am able to make the move to a larger house. Which, sadly, given the state of the world, could be a while.
