Nerf: up next, Boba Fett’s EE-3

The Nerf is based on the shorter BoBF version of the blaster, not the Mandalorian one.
There are two different lengths of this blaster used in BoBF.
They can never make this easy for us can they! Lol thanks lonepigeon! ;)

It still seem a little toy-ish compared to the original short prop.
Scope knobs are further back. Front scope base too close to barrel details etc.
Still, it looks pretty good for a prop for trooping and cons.

Thanks for sharing! I wonder why they shortened it!? If it was done on purpose or just because another prop house made it?

Every. Single. Time. :D It's almost like the production says, "Let's screw with the prop/costume making fans by making this shorter by 1.5 inches."

Thanks for the comparison photo lonepigeon , that makes it obvious.

Thats right. With some work and a new painjob this can look really nice. And its great for trooping because its leightweight and more solid as resin I think.

"How hard could it be..." (yes, I used the cursed phrase...) to add a resin cast of the real scope? Obviously you'll have to cut the original one off, and probably build up the mount point for the scope rings, but it's totally possible. I mean, how many of us have built up worse condition resin kits and made them more accurate?

Don’t joke a few of my friends who work for production have done things on purpose just to screw with us

It would amuse me if the barrel length weren't canon, but done just to mess with us.

Episode 1: Long barrel. Episode 2: Short barrel. Episode 3: Back to long barrel, Episode 4: back to short barrel. etc.

Like the assortment of armor parts he has he most likely has an assortment of blasters including the ESB and RotJ versions.

It just amazes me with todays technology there isn’t more consistency
It still comes down to human error. If they have a few blasters on a table or in a box in the prop department and from a distance they all "look alike..."?

To me, it’s just the colorful history of Star Wars that random changes happen for no reason. It’s why we have v1’s, 2’s and 3’s. It’s why a “hero” and “stunt” stormtrooper can be found standing next to each other.

I see the inconsistencies as honoring the Star Wars props legacy.
