Nerf Star Wars Blasters - Custom (Pic Heavy)

I have started a collection of Nerf blasters for Blast A Trooper in the Richmond area as I am a member of VA 501st Garrison Tyranus. While doing so I thought it would be AWESOME to have our Stormtroopers and Sandtroopers with accuratized Nerf Blasters. Like a T-21, RT-97C, and a DLT-19 but Bright Orange and would be able to shoot Nerf Darts. In this idea, I want to follow the rules of no custom internal modifications, so I will be using a Nerf Stryfe un-modded, but will be making custom barrels and stocks to be interchanged.

This thread will show my progress, but I have already made quite a bit.

This is what I am going for, but bright orange and white instead of black. Why do this? Fun... I can make more when I want I suppose.

I found some blueprints and printed them out full scale and taped them all together. Here is the Nerf Stryfe up against the blueprints.

Progress on the T-21 barrel:

I found that 7/8" Polycarbonate fits snug and perfect around the nerf barrel tubing so I am going to extend the barrel using that. In order to fit that I need to make a bunch of reducing fittings for each blaster.

This one is for the end of the T-21:

This is how it looks installed in the barrel:

How it looks mounted up:

And so there is no wiggle, I filled it with expanding foam:

I cleaned the end up, added 2-part epoxy filling and painted first coat. Also added the corrugated pipe and zip ties:

Start on the DLT-19 NERF:

Here is my reducing fitting inside the nerf barrel:

And cut the pipe to size and drilled the holes as accurate as possible with the template I had:

End piece will be a mouthwash cap that I sand down to make round. Lots and lots of sanding...

NEXT:
RT-97C

Lots of drilling and dremel work...

Awesome idea. Have you tried a test fire to see if the nerf dart will move with the longer barrel?

I wouldn't go through this if I didn't. That would be a ton of wasted effort. Lol. The stryfe fires like 75 to 80 feet stock. With these on, it is a bit less, not sure how much yet but still packs a decent punch. Because we are doing blast a trooper, I don't need the 80 foot range. :D

The 7/8" polycarbonate pipe fits directly over the inner orange tube in the nerf barrels so there is very little difference in width.

I did have one barrel test that the darts got stuck every time, but that was because I tried cutting the inner nerf barrel shorter. I have since used a new inner barrel and it all works fine.

I can shoot a video when done.

Added some paint to the barrel of the T-21. Nearing completion on that one. I have a stock shipping in (should be here by the weekend I think).

I call the front the Traffic Cone!

Parts for the RT-97C NERF! Missing in the photo is the Nerf barrel but it will be added so the barrel can detach like the others.

Some work on the RT-97C

I made a little box to support the nerf CS-35 drum mags. I will add strapping and elastic so they can be removed and used.

Added paint. Barrel will be grey with orange tip. Inside barrel will be orange so each window cutout will look orange. Should be pretty cool.

It is schedule 40 PVC. I would have to measure thickness. It is pretty heavy overall. The other 2 are definitely lighter.
