Nemesis Tricorder Reference Material

Hello guys...

I'm after some high-res reference material for the Nemesis Tricorder. Most of the stuff I have found on the net is not suitable for my purposes, as they are all either low res, or poor angles to replicate a prop from.

Also, if anyone has a Nemesis Tricorder to hand, could you post some measurments?

Hmm I have one and some images Ive saved but theyre not mine. But the one I have is a Fed Surplus kit which I am working on. However the Fed surplus kit is not exatcly like the screen used prop. Also, mine is even less like the original because I am modifying it so I can use my Ipod touch inside as and "actual" tricorder like in the movie. I am almost done but its the little things that get me. I wish I could get electronics at least for the scanning LEDs on the top. Let me know, I can email you the pics I have collected!

Its the padd type. I belive the kit I am working on is an old com510 kit.

oooh sweet. Thats gonna be awesome. I assume youre doing it with lights. I was wondering how the lighting for the scanning part can be achieved with something small, because I have the body made up to hold my Ipod touch. I would love to have a scanning bar thingy for it. I have the Comm510 kit too.

here are some shots of it. The program is really cool. It makes sounds and changes graphics when you press certain buttons.

I had to modify it to have an awkward door on the back because the Ipod is too thick to fit flush inside. Its still work in progress, it looks pretty gross inside so far, but hopefully itll turn out ok. I still need to figure out how I can latch it closed, all I thought of was duct tape in the door, as I would very much like my Ipod to be Non-tricorderd at times. I was also contemplating modifying it to contain the clear graphics, but I figure I can just tape those in or something when the Ipod isn't in there

Oh what did you use for the clear part at the top; if I dont do the scanning lights, Id at least like to have the piece there, as mine did not come with one. Or is it the LEDs themselves that make up the part?

I have been trying to mod mine to fit my iphone. Guess geniuses DO think alike. :lol

Is the Nemesis Tricorder you are doing for silverskyes a one-off? Or would you be able to make another one? If yes, what sort of price are we talking? Static or working?

It is a kit he sent me to build. Like I said I think its a old comm510 kit. I have one myself that was given to me by a friend in the UK, but it is missing several parts so I have never built it. I have plans to do one myself one day, but who knows when. You might try and PM thermalized plastics. He does a really nice nemisis Tricorder.

Hahahaha! Hopefully Ill have the genius to make it as great as that thermalized plastics one looks. Just curious, how much is the TP one?

I got mine on ioffer for about $30 I believe (Another auction site like ebay). I have also seen them turn up on the 'bay once and a while for about that price.

EDIT: Obv, the tricorder in my pic above was a Mark VII I ordered from Myron last year or so...
