Need help making Iron man repulsor glove with LED

Hello I am a total beginner and I sort of have an idea of what to do with foam costumes.

I followed this tutorial TUTORIAL - Painting Foam Costumes - Part 4 of "Using PEPAKURA for FOAM Costume Building" - YouTube

Ok so if I just wanted the foam hands/gloves, will I have a hard time for the fingers? The foam costumes seem a lot easier than the other method.

Will I be ok as long as I use a heat gun to make the foam more flexible? May I use a blowdryer instead?

I have no experience in soldering but I can learn, what is the easiest way to put an led light on the gloves?

Any other help will be appreciated, thank you.

Gannikus,
If you do not have any experience with foam, DO NOT make palm/fingers.
The difficulty level on these are high because:
1. Small parts
2. Precision cutting and fitting
3. Lots of repetition (boring)
4. Delicate fitting (lower palm and knucle).

If you still want to do foam, just glue finger panels directly to a glove.
Try making something easy like handplate, see how you handle foam.

Search this forum, there are several thread mentioning about easy foam making pattern (which is not easy for beginner = easier perhaps), using gloves as underlayer, heck, I saw an alternative to just use thick red rubber gloves, and stick LED to it.
Same as repulsor. Which reminds me, I will put up how to make easy repulsor on my tips thread.

I don't think you will need heat gun or hair drier for making this.

You may want to experiment with pepakura (paper) first. Try to make a set of index finger, just use regular paper. Then you will know basic idea about it.

Good luck and happy building

Pssst. Try this pattern: http://www.therpf.com/f24/iron-man-war-machine-easy-hand-files-150409/

I just found it. I'm a first time builder too. I decided to scrap my other glove, based on Darkside501st's pep, and use the one above instead. I had already decided no fingers, I'm going to wear gloves inside instead. Fingers just seem way too hard. The 2 peps I got my hands on earlier (pardon the pun) were full of precision cuts AND folds. I put it together in cardstock to figure it out and fit it, and was at a loss how to recreate all the tiny folds in foam because I have small hands. Some fold lines were just millimeters apart.

The pattern that charades linked to is much easier than the other patterns out there, IMHO. I attempted to make one glove using the templates from Stealth. While they were modified for use with foam, I found them way to difficult to get the proper look and feel. With j0We's template, I was able to get a very nice looking glove in about half the time.
