Hey All,

Im trying to get this US Army Soldier design costume finished and keep running into trouble with this helmet. I'm not a very talent sculpter but have most of this costume put together, call it 80% I just need to get some help on this helmet.

Heres a Link to the design I am talking about:

Ive got the legs, gloves, boots, belt, chest (not armor, just "under armor").

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated:

With any kind of custom sculpt or customization of a pre-existing platform, it requires time, patience, dedication and cost. It's hard to assess the overall shape with only a forward-facing photo.

You'd have to mine the Internet for something pre-existing that is hopefully as close to the shape of this black helmet as possible. Heck, it doesn't necessarily have to be a helmet... it might be a bowl or a trash can that's the right size and shape. The more a "found" part resembles what you want, the less sculpting and customization you'd have to do.

If you're looking for someone to help, then it has to be worth their while. If you put out a request for $500-1,000 worth of effort but only want to pay $50-100 (not saying these are the actual prices, but stated for comparative purposes only) then it wouldn't be worth someone's time.

There may be someone willing to do it for little money, hoping that they could offer a run of these. However, if it's something that's not in demand, nobody would want to do the work and see some measure of return for their efforts.

A lot of this is going to have to be a labor of love.

Without knowing what the rear looks like, one possibility for you is to achieve an approximate look by combining a sports bike helmet, a full-face debris shield from OSH, some black limo window-tint film, and parts of a paintball mask.

Heck, here's a paintball mask with a very approximate look.

If you want "identical" then you'd have to commission someone to make it for you.

Or buy the original.

Thanks, I know I would have to commission someone, but I was unaware you discussed such matters on a public forum. Thats why I placed m email on here so they I could discuss the price privately.

My mistake as well, I thought I posted the additional pictures.

So would anyone be interested in doing this on a commission basis.?

My picture files exceed the allowable limit I am going to try and upload them on a URL.....
