Something has come loose inside of the swiveling top section of an MR ST:TOS Tricorder in my possession. It sounds like something relatively large -- more substantial than, say, just a screw. :confused
As far as I can tell, whatever has become dislodged in there isn't (yet) interfering with the electronics -- lights, sounds, screen, and moiré all function correctly -- but still it bothers me. :cry
Does anyone have (1) a good guess as to what's rattling around in there, and (2) a reliable procedure for opening the top section so that I can make repairs? I haven't studied the compartment much, but it looks to be pretty well sealed.
Thanks for any advice you can offer!
