i got a neca 300 immortal mask in today. they appear to be vac plated then a duller spray pattern applied over the top.leaving the chrome on some areas.
my one seems to have been painted by stevie wonder wearing a blindfold just to make sure. the only chrome bits are the nose tip and chin.
i would like to take some of the "overspray" off exposing more of the chrome. but i dont want to damage the chrome underneath so what can i use?
i tried a little ipa on an area but i think its not strong enough. a little came off but it was far too much effort for the result. it didnt harm the chrome though as i tried a bit on the back. i know the likes of car polish would take it off but it would damage the chrome i would have thought
