Ok, so I have to say the following two movies were just the strangest movies I ever heard of.

1. Rubber the story of a rubber spare tire named Robert, who has telepathic abilities to kill small animals and inevitably, teenagers.

2. Poultrygeist the movie about what happens when you build a franchise chicken joint on sacred Native American burial grounds.

I know there are more out there, so I would love to hear about them.

This was mentioned in the Name that Quote thread-

"The Stuff"

So two backwater hicks find this white "stuff" bubbling up from the swamp, which tastes awesome... so they package it and it becomes an insane hit.

Except the "The Stuff" is some kind of parasite that when ingested is highly addictive, controls your mind, and eventually eats you from the inside out.

Sort of sounds good on paper... The movie... well... I don't remember it being great, and that was over 25 years ago. :lol

Oh and the end of the movie, they fight back against not only "The Stuff" but the Powers That Be marketing machine that sells it.

The Stuff and the Mega Corporation are defeated...

Until they come up with the next big thing---

"The Taste."

:unsure

DAMMIT! Beat by 13 minutes! :lol

Motel Hell - Strange but actually very funny.

Shivers - Weird parasite turns people into sex starved horny zombies.

Night of the Creeps is pretty sweet. Black Sheep was awesome.

That poultrygeist movies sounds just like something I'd love. Will have to check it out.

For some reason Evilspeak pops into my head. Saw it way back in the Army, it stars Clint Howard and is kind of a military academy "Carrie".
I remember it being both good and bad at the same time, but I haven't seen it in thirty years.

Zombie Strippers was pretty out there.

The newscasts and soldiers in paintball gear were really the best parts.

Teeth was disturbingly strange.

Been watching one on Netflix called Ahh! Zombies! (pretty sure it has an alternate title, too) that tells things from the perspective of the zombies. They don't know they are infected and think it's the normal people who are sick. They see themselves as normal, everyone else sees them as zombies. Pretty odd.

Maybe I'm in a minority, but I thought Hobo With a Shotgun had a bit of a horror element to it. Rubber, Teeth, Thankskilling, Harpoon, and I know I'm forgetting some other ones.

EDIT: Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon is an interesting one... It's filmed like a newscast about a serial killer who borrows (And is friends with) tips and ideas from other horror movie killers. He explains why/how he does what he does, etc. If you can rent it, it's definitely worthy of at least one viewing.

This reminds me of the animated comics of I Am Legend where to the infected the normals were the sick ones. It's a nice twist on the zombie genre.

Jaws the Revenge
:lol Good call!

At the moment, the only movie that comes to mind is Cemetery Man (a.k.a. Dellamorte Dellamore) from 1994. For those who don't know, Rupert Everett plays a cemetery worker who must kill the dead a second time after they rise from their graves as zombies. Now, I loves me a good zombie movie, but this one is just...odd. Marketed as a horror comedy, it doesn't really succeed on either level (not for me, anyway) and, as a result, often feels like two completely different movies that were inexplicably spliced together.

Wow... I need to start a list of all these horrible movies and do a marathon around Halloween. I will call it Crap-o-ween :lol
