My WIP Non-Canon BSG Flight Jacket

Whew. I picked up a waxed cotton jacket at Target for half price, I really, really liked the design and though it would make a nice, non-canon BSG flight Jacket, sorta kinda like Lee's but different. I ordered the insignia and put everything in place.

I am going to order the embroidered rank insignia from Sci-fi geeks once the new year hits and put that on the collar points. I am pretty happy with how it is turning out. Is the Pegasus patch too much? I also have a Valkyrie patch as well.

For the record, I have some of the insignia Lee's jacket had, but I am trying to avoid any modern US insignia for the moment.

Really great idea! Personally, I would remove the Peg patch. Maybe you can find another jacket in khaki and use it on that as an officers field jacket.

Nice I like that, two suggetions to make it more BSG like,

One, I would add a green yoke to the shoulders kinda like the flight suit, you could use the same green as the epaulette tabs you added.

Two, pilot wings above the pocket with the Vigilante patch on it.

Thanks for the suggestions, the yokes are a good idea, I would have to source some fabric, that might come later. I want to get some embroidered flight wings rather than my nice metal ones.
Good idea on the Pegasus patch, makes it look too crowded...
