My ULTIMATE ESB Yoda - lifesize display!

Came together quite nicely Chris!

The sculpt really is incredible in person... Phil is indeed a master :)

Your use of the backdrop and pedestal (and in particular your allowing him to have a bit of "air" around him) really makes the display something special finishes everything off VERY nicely.

best,
Tom

Wow! Thanks for all the great comments guys - I really appreciate them and I'm glad you like him. :)

Chris

Brilliant display! I'm proud to see this work so beautifully presented and finished off so well by the likes of Tom, Gino, Chris and you other mega talented guys with an eye for perfection. THIS is how it should be!

I look forward to seeing the use of leafs when you get round to it Chris. This looks like a chunk of Dagohba, sliced straight out of The Empire Strike Back. Like a 3D freeze frame setting.

Phil

Thanks Phil.
Without your amazing sculpt none of this would have been possible.
It's a truly stunning recreation of the original sculpt that Stuart Freeborn did. Thanks so much for making it possible!

Cheers,

Chris

Looks fantastic.
You should be able to collect some good dry, crispy leaves this weekend. :)

As usual my friend, you pioneer the classiest of displays. That first shot looks straight out of the archives. You have every right to be proud and I echo the congratulations to all involved in its creation. Just as agent5 says, don't flog it soon as!
Can't wait to see it in person and break into a thousand poor Yoda impressions.

:lol
Thanks mate! Trust me, this little guy is going nowhere!
You're absolutely correct about the Yoda impressions - it's impossible not to start doing them when you see him!

Cheers,

Chris

I honestly don't know what to say that has not already been said...

That is simply brilliant...I cannot see how it could get any better...

Congrads!!!

Very nice indeed! ..I'm looking forward to working on mine and it's really inspiring to see these Yoda's.

Awesome display idea too, wish I had the space to do one this big!

I wanted to express my sincere thanks to the MASSIVELY talented people who made this display possible for me:

Cyberman for the incredible head, hands, feet, body, cane and necklace.
Wampa for the jaw dropping and highly accurate assembly, paintjob and weathering.
Gino for the superb inner and outer robes.
Benkenove for the brilliant belt and pouch.
Not forgetting moffeaton, itsalive and rabbittooth for the hi-res Dagobah backdrop.

Chris

:eek

Wow, no wonder it looks so fan-freaking-tastic. That's quite an RPF Dream Team of artists/fabricators you've assembled there.

Congrats to Chris, and all those he listed above. :cheers
