I made this over a year ago, but I just took some pictures this afternoon. It's made from a vintage Vogue Brikette doll, just the like original. The wig and dress are custom made. I got the fabric printed on Spoonflower to match the pattern of the original dress then added the chicken head knob and turn key on the back. There were at least two dolls made for the show because the doilies around the neck are a little different. I think one was the mechanical version (which I also made and gave to my sister as a gift) and one was just the original Brikette body, which is the one I kept and the one you see here.
A few years ago I also made a replica of the Twilight Zone Invader:

I was unhappy with the accuracy of the Sideshow replica, so I made my own. Similarly, there is a licensed Talky Tina replica out there, but it isn't completely accurate. It's too small and they had to make the likeness a little different for legal reasons. They made a "black and white" version and later released a color version, but I think the colors they chose are wacky (it has red brown hair with an aqua dress and red ribbons). I searched and searched and couldn't find any info on the colors of the original dress. The makers of the licensed replica just made up the colors. So I made up what I thought looked appropriate as well. There's really no way to tell from the black and white print what the colors of the actual dress were, but I can make a few educated guesses. For instance, I'm pretty certain that the bow around the waist was not red like the licensed version. Using some old film school knowledge, we used to shoot on Kodak black and white film stock which hasn't changed since the 1940's and red always exposed terribly. You can tell because Talky Tina's lips (which are definitely red) look like a very pale gray on black and white film. It's the same reason why Hitchcock used chocolate syrup for blood in the Psycho shower scene. But the bow on the doll exposed fairly dark. So it was probably green or blue if I was to take a guess. I chose a blue dress and medium blue ribbon because I thought it just looked right.
