Are you using bondo? Also, how are you gitting rid of the wood grain on the sides? is the surface smooth enough or are you also using bondo on them as well?

BTW, it's looking bee-you-tee-ful! Keep up the fantastic work!

Thanks Guys! :$

I am using Bondo for the big stuff, spot filler putty ( red auto putty ) for the little things and filler primer, nice and thick over everything.....fills in pin holes and takes care of the wood grain after a few coats and sandings!!

A few more progress pix from last night..........attached the plotter disk housing and did some more Body work!
just put a few of the goodies on there so you can the the feel!!:love

Graphic has to light up: I'm guessing fluorescent tubes with Mylar covered styrene box behind it for maximum illumination.

Kind of taking a break for a few days......did a little messing around with some light options today!! : )
just slapped the panels on with some tape so they are far from looking perfect!! LOL

Wow! :eek

This thread escaped my notice until today. I had the pleasure just now of going through the pages and seeing all of the progress in quick succession.

The very first picture of the console after one day's work already had me saying, "You did that in one day?!" Looking at the most recent pics, I am (as happens so often on this board) blown away by the skills of my fellow members.

Awesome, B!! :love :thumbsup

I imagine you have plans for digitized transporter sounds that warble when you move the fader switches? :love

I hope, when the time comes, you'll put something up on YouTube so we can see this baby in action.

Beautiful work as always. Thanks for sharing this with us! (y)thumbsup:thumbsup
