I really enjoyed watching the Super 8 movie and was searching for some props I could add to my display......

First, there was only a cube available on shapeways:

Its a good looking cube, but not screen accurate.

The Argus Cube replicas in passive mode made by QMx are pretty cool:

Okay........thats nice so far, but the cubes felt alone and needed some paper props next to them :

I was able to print some faxes, pictures of the Argus Cube, an ID Card and so on with the help of some Super 8 viral sites (Gonna Be MINT! - SUPER 8 - At Cinemas Everywhere AUGUST 5 - ----- - Revalistic | Just another WordPress site and more

The Super 8 cameras used in the movie are cool props too - the camera used in the beginning of the movie can clearly be identified as an eumig MACRO SOUND 65 XL

I get a working one:

I identified the Kodak Film, they used for their zombie movie project:

and found a still intact Kodak Ektachrome 160 cartridge:

The second camara, after the first one broke, was identified as a Kodak Ektasound 140:

Again I bought one of these for cheap... just for my display, since it doesn´t work anymore:

I made some more paper props : the family photo, some polaroids and even the script, they might have used while filming on the train station:

believe me, making those polaroids was a pain in the *** , but the result was well worth it

On Joe´s desk you can see many more nice things, one of them is a vintage Bryan Ohio Tin Tool Box, that you can see on one of the viral sites (gonnabemint)

and in the movie:

I found one of these tin boxes on eBay:

I found and identified more items and will show them later, when there is some interest. thanks for looking :)

Wow! You really went 'above and beyond' on this Stefan! I've often thought about what other Super8 props could be added to a collection, (other than the cube), and you really nailed it. Nice work man!

WoW Stefan... Congrats. This is realy a nice (hopefully growing) Super 8 collection :)
I realy like that movie. Unfortunately it has never realy been "in the focus" about prop replicating :( Maybe this will change now a little bit :)

Good luck on your hunt for further S8 props.

thanks so much !

I identified some more things and just wait for them to arrive here.
First I think I found the walkie talkies they used in the movie:

They look like these vintage walkie talkie

these are LULU MONDE MODEL GTC-404 Walkie Talkies with a morse code in front

next one is a Batman´s Detective Comic hanging on the wall in the background in Joe´s room:

you can read a bit about this issue here Detective Comics 475 - The Joker Wiki

you can see many classic Aurora models in the movie, as the Aurora “Hunchback of Notre Dame”

or The Invisable Man
