My Snake Eyes Experience

I saw this pic on Twitter. Based on your other pic with Bazooka and Zartan, I'm assuming this also is you.

Chris Fields, I love that falchion! Very similar to the one that came with the Version 2 Snake-Eyes action figure back in the day! Where did you manage to find one? :confused

Thanks, I make blades, and I custom designed this one, though I ended up sending the design to my good friend Matt at Baltimore Knife and Sword and he was able to turn this one around faster than I could, so I let him do it due to my time crunch for the stunt show it was for.

Since we haven't received an actual answer yet, I'm going to post my best guess on what he used...

Looks to me like he might have bought one of the Retaliation Snake-Eyes masks, removed the visor from it, and then attached a headband to the back to hold it in place. This is simply my best guess going by the photos in this thread. :cool

I was going to post a breakdown thread to show how I did this. You are correct about the visor. Utilized the Retaliation mask, but made modifications since the costume mask is clear and attached to a child's mask. You also notice the mask has been modified to remove the lips and create a trim jawline, which is apparent when you just use a black ski mask. The visor can actually be used without the headband in the back, but I was trying to make the back of the head look more like the profile of the helmet frim the movie. Based on the pictures, and some of the artwork at the convention, one modification will be the removal of the headband from the back since you do not see it in many of the pictures anyway.

Th' new suit you built it in 2 Weeks for less than $150.00 how did you go about doin' that any WIP pics????:cool:cool

From one old school Snake-Eyes costumer to another new one, I love seeing more Snake-Eyes builds popping up now! :)

Still having fun with this since the new movie came out. Just did a Toy and Comic Convention this past weekend, and bringing to Denver Starfest 2013 where I was requested for a comic cover art. Then requested for Free Comic Day in May and off to Denver Comic Con in June...

Nothing from Denver Comic Con, but here is one from Free Comic Day, reading some quality material...

AWESOME Snake Eyes costume! LOVE the armored look! I've got a Snake Eyes costume too, in a more traditional style. I'd actually LOVE to do one based on the new GI*JOE movie that just came out! That suit looks FANTASTIC! Yours kind of reminds me of the new look from Retaliation! SUPER COOL!!!:cool

Hope I'm not hijacking here, but here's a pic of me in my gear. ENJOY!:D
