Well I wasn't ging to make a post about my paintup as I've had no previous experience painting really any prop but I figured why not.

So I bought a Casey P2 bio for my suit ans as stated had no previous experience painting anything aside from my SW costumes.  I did the usual to the bio , trimmed the eyes, cleaned up the outer edges, washed and that's really all I did.

I did as most do primed a couple coiats let dry than rattle can a copper color I had laying around.  TBH  I thought the color was way too bright but I did it anyways.

Now my plan was not necessarily to make this thing screen accurate but to match my armor.  So I used the ol sponge paint method beautifully outlined by PredatrHuntr in his video...

I forgot to take pics with the eye mesh which I used window screen for the time being.  I simply doubled it up and glued it in.

Here is a pic from a shoot I did.  Hope you enjoyed it as much as I have.

Sadly I wore the bio a day after painting it at a con and as I posted on that thread ended up losing the bio and it cracked.  Since repaired.

cheers

yea the lighting in the photoshoots photo doesn't reflect it very well sadly.

I am pretty proud of what I accomplished though for my first time trying this.

This piece will remain in my collection indefinitely.

I should also point out I didn't take any pics of the finished product so the seams and lines were gone over with a fine brush to darker it all up...

Very nice, I think you matched the colours pretty well, the weathering looks great too, especially if you've done the shadows as you said in your last post.
