Now, I never noticed this, but my sharp eared daughter picked it up. Near the end of the Dragonslaying classes for the young vikings when Astrid is extra determined to win the final event; Hiccup manages another improbable victory. Astrid - on camera- goes into a G rated tirade and storms off camera.

As the camera zooms in on Hiccup and Astrid's tirade continues OFF camera, if you listen for it you can hear her shout ( For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge) before finally fading into inaudibility. I'd probably watched that movie five times and never noticed it but once my daughter pointed it out--- there it was, clear as a bell.

I'm just curious how they snuck that one by the censors on a PG movie. It kind of makes me laugh because I like Astrid's character and it makes her little tirade extra salty.
 
Reminds me of the original Madagascar when Marty says "Oh Sugar Honey Ice Tea!" That part still makes me laugh :lol
 
Or the Penguins with "Hoover Dam!" and "Shiitake mushrooms!"

Sadly, what Astrid actually shouts is, "No! You son of a half-troll, rat-eating [something] bucket!" Not sure what that [something] is as there's a swooshing sound effect over it, but it sounds most like "plunge" to me.

That is what she shouts ON camera, right? When she's off camera and Hiccup has started talking to the instructor it sure sounds like she shouts the curse word.

"Plunge?" Er... That's sort of a non-sequitor, isn't it?

Nah, it's definitely "bucket". I was pretty sure the word before ended in "-lunge", and "plunge bucket" (like on a well) seemed to make most sense, but after listening again with headphones this time I'm inclined to agree with the "munge bucket" that most of the google hits suggested.

Just don't ask me what a "munge bucket" is... Maybe they meant a mung bucket? :sick

It was munge bucket. They figured that would sail over kids' heads, unlike the f-bomb it sounds like.
 
:sick. Bleah!!! That's really, really gross and an expression I hadn't heard of before. I'd heard it referred to as Buffalo Tongue before.... I get queasy thinking of it.

Wasn't that what Hellcat Maggie traded her ear in for in _Gangs of New York_?
